Dear lovers of art and culture, today we joyfully celebrate the first anniversary of the Venice Biennale in Mestre.

It has been an incredible journey of discovery, creativity and community connection that has transformed this experience into something unique and meaningful.

Illuminating Forte Marghera

the Venice Biennale in Mestre

Forte Marghera, during the holiday season, was transformed into an enchanted place thanks to the efforts of the Venice Biennale.

From December 15 to January 7, this magnificent fort is hosting a series of fascinating initiatives.

X-Tree: a work of art to walk through

The beating heart of Forte Marghera is the "X-Tree" installation, a fascinating reworking of the classic Christmas tree.

Scalable via an internal staircase, it offers a unique experience up to its 25-meter-high viewing terrace. The grand opening on Dec. 15, with an immersive DJ set from 7-10 p.m., promises to be an unforgettable moment.

Romantic walk in light and sound

The streets of Forte Marghera come alive with a "romantic stroll" thanks to sound and light pathways leading to the enchanting X-Tree and the breathtaking view of the lagoon.

Field: when music becomes light

Another artistic wonder is "Field," an installation that translates music into dynamic light effects. This work, created by Paris-based studio 1024 Architecture, is a reworking of the work Core presented at the Biennale Electro exhibition in 2019.

Circus shows and smiles at the Albanian Park Theater

The Albanese Park Theater in Mestre-Bissuola, from Dec. 20 to Jan. 6 at 5 p.m., becomes the stage for five circus shows, dedicated to children, teens and families.

The magic of circus theater

Shows ranging from irony about freedom of expression to the hilarious comedy of Scared Clown Panettieri. Five companies, including Madame Rebiné and the Clown Collective, will bring laughter and fun for the whole family.

It is an honor to share these unique moments with you, our beloved community. The Venice Biennale is not just an event, but a special link between art and everyday life, between innovation and tradition.

Celebrating cultural expansion

These initiatives during the holiday season mark another chapter of the Venice Biennale's growth and involvement with the mainland.

From art at Forte Marghera to education at Bissuola

From art exhibitions at Forte Marghera to educational projects at Bissuola, the Biennale has become entrenched in the life of the community.

The success of events such as the Kids' Carnival and the Educational Open Park 2023 program demonstrate the ongoing commitment to enriching everyone's lives through art and culture.

A new year of cultural exploration

This first anniversary is just the beginning of a new chapter. La Biennale di Venezia is committed to continuing its journey of cultural exploration, taking the magic of the arts to new horizons and engaging you, our precious community, in this extraordinary adventure.
